Call of Duty Vanguard gameplay

Throughout Vanguard’s campaign, players will encounter familiar gameplay mechanics from the Modern Warfare series. These include the ability to mount weapons to surfaces, interact with doors, and perform takedowns. Additionally, the game introduces new gameplay features that enhance the tactical dimension of combat. Players can now blindly shoot from behind cover, break through destructible environmental elements, and even utilize wall climbing to create alternative paths to complete objectives. These additions provide a more advanced and strategic approach to in-game engagement.

Vanguard’s multiplayer mode brings an exciting addition to the series, Champions Hill. The mode is the successor to the popular “Gunfight” mode from previous Call of Duty games like Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War. In Champion Hill, players engage in intense 2v2 arena battles in round-robin matches, trying to survive as long as possible with their team.

With the arrival of the second season of “Vanguard”, players can experience the thrilling “Arms Race” game mode. This massive mode pits two teams of 12 players against each other to capture or destroy 5 bases. In addition to the objective-based gameplay, players also have the opportunity to earn cash for kills and completing objectives. This currency can then be used to purchase custom loadouts and powerful killstreak bonuses.

Vanguard’s multiplayer introduces a novel feature to the Call of Duty series called “Battle Rhythm.” Players have greater control over multiplayer mode selection by offering three predefined tempo filters that cater to different play styles. This allows players to tailor their experience to their preferred level of intensity and engagement.

To further enhance the multiplayer experience, Vanguard implemented the “Caliber System” as an expansion to the returning Gunsmith system. This system brings a more destructive and reactive environment to the map by introducing different ammunition types. Players can take advantage of these different ammo options to create more dynamic and impactful gameplay moments.

Similar to Cold War’s integration, Vanguard connects seamlessly with Warzone, allowing players to carry over their progress, weapons, operators, and cosmetics between the two games. This integration extends to items in Modern Warfare and Cold War, further expanding the options available in Warzone. Additionally, consistent with Call of Duty titles released since 2019, Vanguard’s multiplayer fully supports cross-platform play, ensuring players can play multiplayer on eighth and ninth generation consoles.
