Cardi B, Charli XCX & Others Weigh In On Viral Rapper Ceechynaa’s ‘Peggy’ Hit ‘Outrageous’

Rapper Ceechynaa’s latest single, “Peggy” has many adoring fans. Among them are Charli XCX and Cardi B.

“Peggy” follows previously released songs “Legal baby” and “Last Laugh” and it was released earlier this month. Since then, the song has gone viral on social media due to the many raunchy and quotable lines in the song.

“Chyna, have mercy, I won’t get paid ’till the weekend’ / I don’t care, shut up / Get down on your knees and grease my legs (P–sy),” she raps in lines.

Elsewhere in the song – which has garnered more than a million views on YouTube – Ceechynaa raps: “I’m peggin’ that man in the back of the bus / Feel like Three 6 Mafia, I’ll fill up his nose with dust.”

To celebrate the song, Charli XCX used her TikTok account to post a video lip-syncing to the song. In the clip, which is captioned “Happy Holidays,” she not only sings the song but also shuts down and kicks out at the end of the short clip.

Rapper Cardi B also celebrated the song. Cardi B shared a clip of herself singing those lyrics, then went on to share a meme featuring them, to which Ceechynaa replied, “Suddenly I’m the man in the back of the bus. “

Cardi and Charli weren’t the only superstars to react to the viral hit. Singer Ellie Goulding sang along to the video in a clip posted to her TikTok. She captioned the clip: “This is so outrageous and this is what it’s worth.”

Ceechynaa – real name Chelsea Odosamamwen Ode – is 20 years old and rose to fame in 2023 thanks to her unique drill sound and assertive lyrics. She was born in South London to Nigerian parents and began writing music at the age of 14. She worked many jobs before becoming famous, including working as a waitress. While in college, she dropped out of school to devote all her time to music. Her first single, “Legal Baby”, was released in 2022.

The rapper has since responded to the song’s positive response, writing on X/Twitter that from “music to marketing,” she did everything herself.

She said: “Since entering the music industry, there have been many sad things that I have had to face that I have never shared with you.”

“After a year and a half away from music to get the right headspace, I challenged myself to come back stronger and not spend a dime on marketing for the third time in a row. That’s why why every achievement I celebrate means so much.” is more to me than you can imagine,” Ceechynaa added.
