The “Bodak Yellow” rapper, 31, announced the pregnancy news on Thursday — a day after filing for divorce from her 32-year-old husband, Offset, after six years of marriage.

In the Instagram post, Cardi shared two photos of herself wearing a red dress showing off her baby bump, along with a message to her unborn child.
“Every ending comes with a new beginning! I’m so grateful to have shared this season with you, you brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my strength!” she captioned the images.
She continued, “Reminding me that I can have it all! Reminding me that I never have to choose between my life, my love, and my passion! I love you so much and can’t wait for you to see what you help me achieve, what you push me to do!”
“It’s much easier to accept the ups and downs, challenges and twists of life, but you, your brother and sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!” the Grammy-winning rapper concluded her post.

Prior to her post, Cardi’s rep confirmed to People that the rapper is in the process of divorcing the Migos member.
“This is not based on rumors of cheating, which have been going on for a long time,” the representative told the newspaper.

After tying the knot in 2017, Cardi and Offset welcomed two children: a 2-year-old son named Wave and a 6-year-old daughter named Kulture.
Offset also has two children from previous relationships: sons Jordan, 14, and Kody, 8, and daughter Kalea Marie, 9.

Cardi often shares her love for her children on social media, posting pictures of them and celebrating their milestones.
Last month, she wished her “beautiful, gentle, amazing daughter” a happy birthday on Instagram, saying she had “grown up with her.” [because] “I have learned a lot just by being your mother.”
Before their latest divorce filing, Cardi and Offset had been through some rough patches in their marriage.
They announced their split in 2018 but later decided to stay together. The “I Like It” hitmaker also filed for divorce from him in 2020 but eventually called it off.
