Early life and education
Carol Tshabalala was born in Pimville, Soweto on 11 August 1981.
She attended Krugersdorp Secondary School and graduated in 2000.

Career
Carol Tshabalala joined Kaya FM 95.5 as a sports news reporter in 2005. Three years later, in 2008, she became a car entertainment presenter at Radio 2000.

She began her media career at SABC as a sports commentator, and also worked as a television presenter, programme director and voice actress during her time there.
She announced in 2011 that after 10 years with the SABC, she would leave and join SuperSport.
In 2016, she entered the international arena as a live presenter on Barclay’s Premier League (IMG Productions). As a sports commentator, in 2017, she had the honor of co-hosting SuperSport’s 10th anniversary celebration.
Awards & Recognition
In 2002, Carol Tshabalala became the lead female sports presenter of a serious television sports show. Thus, paving the way for a number of female sports presenters to come after her.
Carol Tshabalala then became the first and so far only African to host the FIFA Golden Balloon Awards in 2016.
Personal life
At the age of 19, Carol Tshabalala married Solomon Manana and had two children – Joel (born 2002) and Solomon (born 2007). She also cares for Mpho, the son of her late sister.

By December 2006, Carol and Solomon divorced and she started dating Sbu Motloung in 2015. The couple is still very much in love.
In early 2020, Carol Tshabalala was rumored to be dating Footballer Sadio Mané when she posted many pictures of them.
This sparked online rumors that they might have been intimate but none of the members have come forward to clarify the matter.
