According to producer Dan Nigro, Chappell Roan’s second album is officially in the creative stages.
The superstar producer has prepared a new profile in which he details what fans can expect from Roan on her upcoming album.
“It’s a new version of Chappell,” he told New York Times.
However, he went on to share that so far he and Roan have completed five songs for the upcoming album. One of them is a “fun, up-tempo country song”. While the others were “a couple of ballads” and they created a “mid-tempo rock song”.
Nigro shared that there is one song on the project that uses violin, although he did not specify which song it was.
He has been working with Roan since 2020 when the singer was dropped by her former label Atlantic Records, before she signed with Island Records to release her debut album in 2023 titled The rise and fall of a Midwestern princess.
