Charli XCX called out some fake fans who don’t know the lyrics to her biggest song — “I Love It.”
In a video posted to TikTok, Charli can be heard calling out fans at her LA stop on her Sweat Tour on October 15 who didn’t know any of the lyrics.
“Are you kidding?” she scolded the fan.
Charli then stood there for a minute, looking disappointed as she held out her hand. She then asked them “What?” as her song “I Love It” continues to play in the background. Charli even shrugged at fans.
“Charli XCX’s reaction to the fake fans on the floor who didn’t know the lyrics and gave the entire show 0%,” the text on the video said.
The video then cuts to another part of the concert and to much more enthusiastic fans.
“I f–king love you guys,” Charli can be heard telling fans.
“Charli’s reaction to the vision-obstructed, nosebleed fans who gave 110% even backstage,” that part of the video was captioned.
Fans in the video’s comments section were upset that the people sitting in better seats didn’t seem to be real fans.
“This is why ticket prices shouldn’t be this high. It leaves a gap between real fans and those who just go because they see a trend and can afford it,” one commenter said. essay.
“Those were the people who hated me?!?!?” another person asked again.
“The worst thing is I love it, it’s like her most famous song before among the locals?? Like I feel like the songs people know her for are me love it, enjoy and burst into applause,” said another.
One TikTok user wrote: “How come everyone doesn’t know this song?”
“I Love It” is one of Charli’s biggest hits. Released in 2012, the song included Icona Pop and peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It went on to be certified 5x Platinum for sales equivalent to 5 million units in the United States.
Charli has had a successful year in music. Her album kid has taken over the cultural zeitgeist and her Sweat Tour with Troye Sivan has seen some famous faces in attendance such as Malia Obama.
