Chelsea in advanced talks to sign Wolves’ Pedro Neto for €63m

Chelsea have emerged as the frontrunners in their pursuit of Wolves star winger Pedro Neto. The Portuguese has been the subject of intense speculation this summer, with several top Premier League clubs vying for his signature.

Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal were initially considered the frontrunners for Neto, but Chelsea have now entered the race with serious intentions. According to sources including David Ornstein of The Athletic and Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport, the Blues are in advanced talks with Wolves to secure the transfer of the 24-year-old.

The deal is believed to be worth €63m, with Chelsea paying €60m up front and a further €3m in potential add-ons. The move has surprised many, as Chelsea already have plenty of options in the wide positions, including Raheem Sterling, Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke.

However, Neto’s versatility and ability to play on either flank make him an attractive addition to Chelsea, with his dribbling ability, pace and creativity potentially adding a new dimension to the Blues’ attack under manager Enzo Maresca.

The news has sent shockwaves through the footballing community, with fans and pundits speculating about the potential impact of Neto’s arrival at Stamford Bridge. While some have questioned the wisdom of such a large investment in a player with a history of injuries, others believe Neto’s talent and potential make him a risk worth taking for Chelsea.
