Cher is “Strong Enough” to get over her relationship with Val Kilmer, although she still looks at it fondly.
The music superstar appears on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show on November 20 to promote her new book Cher: Memoir Part 1. While there, she confided about her past love life.
At one point in the interview, Stern asked Cher if the men in her life “expect great sex” from her given her icon status, to which she replied, “Yes, and they understand that.”
That’s when Stern asked what kind of person would leave Cher — and Cher revealed Kilmer was the only person who left her.
Cher previously opened up about her relationship with Kilmer and shared how they met — at a birthday party her friend threw for her.
“We became friends because we often laughed about the same things,” she said in passing New York Post Office. He would sleep over and it was just friendship [at first]. That took a long time. Well, I guess not for long,” she continued.
However, Cher said that their age difference – 13 years – was the reason for their split, revealing that their age gap “was a bigger deal back then”.
