Early life and education
Chhota Rajan was born on January 13, 1960 in Mumbai, India, to parents Sadasiv Sakharam Nikalje and Laxmibai Sadavshiv Nikalje. He grew up with 3 siblings, Deepak Nikalje, Malini Sakpal and Sunita Sakkharam Chavan, and is of Marathi origin. He followed the Hindu faith and attended Amchi Shala Marathi High School in Tilak Nagar, Mumbai.
Career
Chhota Rajan, a notorious Indian gangster, was born into a family living in the Tilaknagar area of Chembur, Bombay. Despite his humble beginnings, he found himself drawn into a life of crime and began by committing petty crimes in his neighborhood. It was his mentor, Bada Rajan, who introduced him to the world of black movie ticket marketing at Sahakar Cinema Ashok Theatre in the 1980s.
Chhota Rajan‘S Coming to power was not without controversy and conflict. While he started out as a protégé of Bada Rajan and Yadagiri of Hyderabad, his relationship with them eventually turned sour. After the death of Bada Rajan, Chhota Rajan came to power and was given the title “Chhota Rajan.”
For a short period, he even worked with Dawood Ibrahim and Arun Gawli, but their collaboration ended after the assassination of Arun’s brother Papa Gawli. Chhota Rajan then went to Dubai for a wedding and never returned.
After the 1993 Bombay bombings, his relationship with Dawood Ibrahim deteriorated, with reports of him tipping off authorities about Ibrahim’s network.
