Chinedu Ikedieze, MFR (born December 12, 1977), is a multi-talented Nigerian actor, entrepreneur and serial investor, also known as Aki.

He is best known for his role opposite Osita Iheme in the 2002 movie Aki na Ukwa and has been paired with him in most of his movies since then.

He has appeared in more than 150 films over the past 20 years. Because of his tall stature and outstanding appearance, he played the role of a child in most of his early films.

Early life and education

Chinedu Ikedieze was born in Amaeke Arochukwu, Abia State, Nigeria on December 12, 1977. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Michael Ikedieze Ogbonna, both of whom are from the Igbo tribe of Nigeria.

Chinedu Ikedieze completed his primary and secondary education in Aba, Abia State. After completing his secondary education, he obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Theatre Arts and a degree in Mass Communication from the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu.

After completing his studies at IMT, he initially wanted to become a lawyer, but in 1998 he began pursuing a film acting career, initially playing small roles. He made his debut in a small role in the 1998 film, The Bad Guys. In 2004, he enrolled at the prestigious New York Film Academy.

Chinedu Ikedieze entered the Nigerian film industry in 2000 and rose to fame in the 2002 film, Aki na Ukwa, where he played the breakthrough role of Aki alongside another minor star, actor Osita Iheme.

The duo, popularly known as “Aki and Paw Paw”, have starred in many movies together since the release of the movie. Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme have been widely praised in the Nigerian movie industry for their chemistry both on and off screen.

Chinedu Ikedieze married his lovely wife Nneoma Ikedieze in Lagos on November 26, 2011. The wedding was a grand affair with guests including several movie stars, top politicians and the Governor of Abia State.

The couple reportedly met on a film production in Lagos; Nneoma Ikedieze was the costume director. Working together sparked some friendships that went beyond intimacy. On November 26, 2011, they got married in a traditional ceremony in the wife’s hometown of Isalambano, Imo State.

A few years after their marriage, the couple seemed to be living happily together and were spotted on holiday in Paris, France. Despite the fake media spreading divorce rumors, Chinedu Ikedieze said there was no divorce.

Although the marriage had not yet produced offspring, the prospect of having children was a priority.

In 2007, Chinedu Ikedeze received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the African Movie Academy Awards.
