His mother, Leonie Hemsworth, is an English teacher, and his father, Craig Hemsworth, is a social services counselor.
He is the second of three sons in the family, the first is Luke Hemsworth born in 1980, and the second is Liam Hemsworth born in 1990; his two brothers Liam Hemsworth and Luke Hemsworth are both actors.
Chris Hemsworth’s grandfather is a Dutch immigrant and his grandmother is of Irish descent.
