Chris Kamara, currently 66 years old, was born on December 25, 1957 in Middlesbrough, England. He grew up on the Park End council estate in Middlesbrough, where his was one of the few black families in the area.
Kamara’s father, Alimamy Kindo “Albert” Kamara, is originally from Sierra Leone. Kamara’s mother, Irene, occasionally had to ask neighbors for financial support to provide food for Kamara and his siblings due to his father’s gambling habits.
Kamara studied at Middlesbrough and showed football talent from an early age. He joined the Royal Navy at the age of 16, following in his father’s footsteps.
Despite missing out on the youth cup final for Middlesbrough Boys, Kamara continued to play for the Royal Navy side. He trained at HMS Raleigh in Torpoint and was then transferred to HMS Vernon.

Chris Kamara is married to his wife Anne, whom he married on May 29, 1982. The couple has two sons together, Ben Kamara and Jack Kamara.

Career
Kamara’s football career began when he was spotted by Portsmouth manager Ian St John playing for the Navy. He signed his first professional contract with Portsmouth in November 1974.
Kamara played for a number of clubs, including Swindon Town, Brentford, Stoke City, Leeds United, Luton Town, Sheffield United and Bradford City.
After playing, Kamara moved into a management role. He was appointed manager of Bradford City in November 1995 and led the team to promotion out of the Second Division via the 1996 play-offs.
He then managed Stoke City for a short period in 1998.
After his management career, Kamara became a famous television personality. He joined Sky Sports as a football pundit and presenter, where he rose to fame for his entertaining and passionate analytical style.
He also appeared on television shows such as “Ninja Warrior UK” And “Great sports relief program.”
