Chris Martin helped a young Coldplay fan who was “crushed” in the crowd.
During a performance at Sydney’s Accor Stadium for the band’s Music Of The Spheres tour, Martin noticed the boy and spoke to him after seeing him in a state of obvious distress. He motioned for the boy to be lifted over the barriers.
“Can you sit right here? You don’t have to be forced,” he told the boy.
Once over the barrier, Martin said, “Then you don’t have to be crushed by all these adults.”
Martin then joked suspiciously about Coke, the drink, or he made it clear.
“You sit right there, my little brother, okay? Is that better? Do you want a coke or something? I mean a drink. We’ll take care of you, man,” he said before continuing. Continue the performance as usual.
The latest Coldplay concert incident comes a day after Martin fell on stage while walking down the runway at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium.
The incident attracted the attention of the crowd and they assured fans that the incident was completely unplanned.
“Thanks for catching me,” Martin said to a stage crew member who caught him before things got too serious.
Martin isn’t the only singer to have trouble walking during recent concerts. Olivia Rodrigo’s fall occurred in Melbourne, mirroring the “Fix You” singer’s mistake of accidentally opening a trap door.
In addition, Coldplay also faced failure when bassist Guy Berryman missed a performance after being “ill”.
“I have to say, thank you so much for coming to our show today. It’s a pity, but we waited until the last minute to inform you that the beautiful bass player Our guy, Guy, is very sick. And won’t be (playing) for the first time,” the band told the audience.
Martin added: “We’re going to have a slightly different show and we’re going to do our best to make it great and I know it’s going to be great because we’re in Melbourne with all Even beautiful people like you.”
