Chris Williams graduated from Purchase College (now State University of New York) in Harrison, New York. In addition to music, another career he loves is acting.
As a result, he was chosen to star in New Jack City at the age of 24 in the early to mid-1990s. After that, he continued to act in other movies.

Personal life
Chris Williams has a son, whom he named Christopher Jr., born in 1988, from a relationship with a stylist. He also has a son, Austin Williams, born in 1990, whose mother is actress Stacey Dash.
He also has a daughter, Cierra Barnes–Williams, born in 1993 with Heather Barnes.
Chris Williams dated actress Halle Berry from 1991 to mid-1992. Many people believed that Chris Williams was the unnamed ex-boyfriend after Halle Berry said in an interview that her ex-boyfriend had been so violent with her that she lost most of the hearing in her right ear.
Chris Williams defended himself to entertainment news website Eurweb, denying that he had never assaulted Halle Berry and suggesting that Halle Berry was referring to actor Wesley Snipes.
He said that everything they wrote about Halle Berry and me was fake. I’m tired of people saying I ruptured her eardrum. I’ve never said this before, but I’m really tired of people thinking I ruptured her eardrum. Wesley Snipes ruptured her eardrum, not me.
He is married to Paige Banks.
