Cissy Houston’s emotional letter to Whitney resurfaces following her death at age 91

The family of Cissy Houston, a Gospel singer and two-time Grammy Award winner and mother of legendary pop singer Whitney Houston, has announced her death at the age of 91.

As reported by ABC News, Cissy passed away Monday in the comfort of her New Jersey residence, surrounded by loved ones.

Daughter-in-law Pat Houston said, “Mother Cissy was a strong and noble figure in our lives. A woman of deep faith and conviction who cared deeply about family, ministry and community.” copper.”

In the letter, Cissy also recounted a chilling memory that lingered in her mind, saying that before learning of her daughter’s death, there was a persistent ringing throughout her house. I rushed to the door but didn’t see anyone there.

The doorbell continued to ring, but every time she opened the door, she saw no one. Finally, Cissy said she contacted the building’s concierge, who checked security cameras and confirmed that no one was present.
