Early life and education

Clem Ohameze was born on June 27, 1965 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

He is a native of Oguta, Imo State, southeastern Nigeria, but he was born and raised in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, south-southern Nigeria. He belongs to the Igbo ethnic group.

Clem Ohameze is highly educated. He completed his secondary education at Holy Family College/Baptist High School. The veteran actor then attended the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Enugu where he obtained his Ordinary National Diploma in Mass Communication.

He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Port Harcourt in 1989. He also studied at the University of Buckingham in London and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Preventive and Social Medicine in 2010.

After graduating from college, Clem Ohameze began his career by appearing in several NTA TV series. In 1995, he entered the Nigerian film industry (Nigerian movie industry) and rose to fame in 1998 when he starred in the Nigerian movie industry blockbuster “The End”.

In 2007, Clem Ohameze contested on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to represent Ohaji-Egbema-Oguta Federal Constituency in the Nigerian Federal House of Representatives.

However, he abandoned the race due to threats to his life. In this unfortunate incident, his car was attacked and his cousin was shot dead.
