Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro GOIH ComM (born 5 February 1985), sometimes known as CR7, is a Portuguese footballer who is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. His achievements over the past decade have only added to that reputation among football fans. He plays as a forward and captains both Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr and the Portugal national team.
Cristiano Ronaldo was born and raised in Madeira, Portugal. However, after coming through the youth system of Sporting CP, he was quickly signed by Manchester United after legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson saw his ability as a winger. Early life
Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese football striker, one of the best players of his generation. His full name is Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro. He was born in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal, on February 5, 1985.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s father, José Dinis Aveiro, was the equipment manager for local football team Andorinha. The Ronaldo name was added to Cristiano’s name in tribute to his father’s favorite movie actor, Ronald Reagan, who was president of the United States when Cristiano was born. His mother’s name is Dolores Aveiro.
He has three siblings named Hugo Aveiro (brother), Elma Aveiro (sister) and Katia Aveiro (sister). His sister Katia Aveiro is a famous singer in Portugal.
