Popular Nollywood actress Dakore Egbuson-Akande has vehemently denied allegations of an affair with Nigerian Senate President, Godswill Akpabio. The rumours emerged on social media after popular anonymous blog Gistlover published a list of women allegedly linked to Akpabio, including Dakore.

In a statement posted on her Instagram page, Dakore expressed shock and disappointment at the baseless accusations. She made it clear that she had never met the Senate President and was appalled by the attempt to tarnish her hard-earned reputation. The actress stressed that she was happily married with two children and had always conducted herself with integrity in both her personal and professional life.

Dakore challenged anyone with evidence of the alleged affair to come forward, offering a $5 million reward for any evidence.
