Beyoncé has a lot of adoring fans but Dave Portnoy is definitely not one of them.
The female singer performed some of her songs cowboy Carter album at NRG Stadium in Houston during halftime of the Texans-Ravens game on Christmas Day. After Beyoncé’s performance, Portnoy took to her X account to share her thoughts on the situation.
“Beyoncé has been LOST since Destinys Child,” he said, quoting his old tweet from 2023 sharing that he thought Rihanna was far superior to Beyoncé.
Beyoncé’s show airs exclusively on Netflix and features some other big music names in it. Post Malone, Shaboozey, and more have all made the cut to join Queen Bey on stage. To close out the performance, Beyoncé’s 12-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, joined her on stage while her mother sang “Texas Hold ‘Em.”
Portnoy followed up her tweet with another tweet that read: “Cut lines are open for Beyoncé’s performance.” The post was intended to promote a call-in show he helps host with former NFL coach Jon Gruden.
Others agreed with what Portnoy said and shared that they were less than thrilled with her performance.

Beyoncé has a long history of performing in halftime shows for the NFL. She appeared in two Super Bowl halftime shows, one in 2013 where she sang solo and in 2016 when she joined Coldplay and Bruno Mars on stage.
Jay-Z was nowhere to be found during his Christmas halftime show as he continues to face scrutiny over a lawsuit alleging he raped a 13-year-old in 2000. The rapper has denied drop these statements.
