David James Elliott: Career and Achievements
David James Elliott, formerly known as David Smith, immigrated to Los Angeles and began his acting career. He has been in various movies and TV shows such as Police Academy 3, Seinfeld, Knots Landing, Melrose Place, Street Legal and The Untouchables. In 1995, he took on the role of Harmon Rabb Jr., a JAG lawyer turned naval pilot in the television series JAG which ran for ten years until the series’ conclusion in 2005.
In 1996, Elliott starred in the film Holiday Affair with Cynthia Gibb. This is a remake of the classic 1949 film starring Robert Mitchum and Janet Leigh. In 2005, he appeared in The Man Who Lost Hisself, based on the true story of Terry Evanshen. He joined Close to Home in 2006 and had a recurring role on The Guard in 2008.
Elliott also starred in Knights of Bloodsteel (2009) and Terror Trap as an Internet millionaire. In Dad’s Home (2010), he plays a widowed advertising executive who becomes a stay-at-home dad to his two children. In 2010, Elliott replaced McDonough as the male lead on Scoundrels and also joined CSI: NY as FBI Agent Russ Josephson.
