Early life

Daniel “Dee” Snider was born on March 15, 1955 in Astoria, Queens, New York City, to Marguerite, a former art teacher, and Bob, a retired New York State Police and Nassau County court clerk . He grew up on Long Island.

In 1973, he earned his degree from Baldwin High School. Snider was selected for the All-State Choir for his singing ability at a young age. He participated in the church choir and the Baldwin High School Concert Choir.
