Destiny 2 gameplay
In Destiny 2, players known as Guardians use powerful weapons and special abilities to defeat their enemies. The game combines elements of first-person shooters with role-playing and MMO elements. Players can participate in PvE events, complete missions, raid and explore different destinations.
In addition, Destiny 2 also offers a PvP mode, where players can participate in objective-based matches or traditional deathmatch. The game emphasizes teamwork and strategy, and it was praised for its improved storytelling compared to the original Destiny. It’s available on a variety of platforms and continues to evolve with expansions and seasonal content.
Destiny 2 plot
Destiny 2’s story unfolds through expansion packs and seasonal content. It revolves around the Guardians, who protect humanity from alien threats and the dangers of darkness. In the Shadowkeep expansion, the Guardians encounter a pyramid ship, warned by dark forces of its impending arrival. In Beyond Light, Guardians gain new powers from the darkness to fight against a variety of enemies.
The story also involves forming alliances with other factions to fight a common threat. The Witch Queen expansion delves into the Hive God Savathun’s quest for power. The “Fall of Light” expansion includes the participation of Emperor Kallus and the Witnesses, and the final chapter “Final Form” is expected to bring an end to the saga.
Destiny 2 Development
Destiny 2 was announced as a sequel shortly after the release of the original Destiny. Bungie and Activision originally planned to produce sequels and expansions on a regular basis. The sequel has been confirmed for release in 2017 and features several improvements over the original, such as in-game storytelling and support for higher resolutions and frame rates on different platforms.
It’s worth noting that character progression and items didn’t quite carry over into the sequel to allow for significant advancement. Destiny 2 is officially released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows, with multiple versions available. It continues to evolve with expansions and content updates that expand the game’s narrative and gameplay.
