early life
Deyemi Okanlawon was born in the mid-80s to Mr. Adeyemi Okanlawon and Mrs. Adeyinka Okanlawon. His father is an aeronautical engineer and his mother is an entrepreneur and baker.
He grew up in the city of Lagos where he completed his primary, secondary and university education.
His first acting experience was a play at a school prize day when he was five years old.
Deyemi Okanlawon rose to fame when he was nine years old when he starred in a television commercial alongside top actor Kunle Bamtefa.

He made his debut in the Nigerian film industry in the short film, A Grain of Wheat. His first feature film appearance was in the movie ZR-7.
In the next two years (2010-2012), he rose to fame by appearing in several short films and web series such as Blink, Knock, etc. Some of these projects were produced by him.
