Diablo 4: Update 1.08 nerfs all classes
On the morning of June 3, “Diablo 4” released its latest update, which brought a number of noteworthy adjustments to the game. Despite its relatively small size (around 300 MB), this update introduces significant changes that players should be aware of.
One of the focuses of this update is to address class balance issues. Diablo 4 developer Blizzard Entertainment has made various adjustments to ensure class balance and provide a fair gaming experience. As a result, all classes were nerfed, especially the Barbarian Cyclone build, which was significantly nerfed.
Blizzard expressed overall satisfaction with the state of class balance in the game. The adjustments in this update are mainly divided into three aspects:
- Addressing long-term survival issues: Some synergies allow certain classes to remain overly powerful for longer periods of time. These synergies have been modified to promote a more dynamic and balanced gameplay experience.
- Bolstering Weak Skills and Builds: Certain skills and builds are considered underperforming, impacting the viability of specific playstyles. In response, these skills and builds have been enhanced to make them more efficient and provide players with more viable options.
- Rebalancing Paragon glyphs: Blizzard recognized that certain Paragon glyphs provided overly significant advantages. In order to maintain fairness and competitiveness, we have made adjustments to ensure that the power levels of these glyphs are consistent with intended design principles.
As a result, players can expect changes to previously dominant skills and builds considered best after the game’s release. While all classes have received substantial nerfs, there are also buffs that may introduce new powerful builds and play styles for players to explore.
This update reflects Blizzard Entertainment’s commitment to continually fine-tune and improve Diablo 4 based on player feedback and game data. By working to address class balance issues and making necessary adjustments, the developers aim to provide a more enjoyable and engaging experience for all players.
