Sean “Diddy” Combs was seen in federal court Wednesday in Brooklyn ahead of his upcoming high-profile sex trafficking trial, where his sons showed support for him.
Although his fame came decades after these events, Combs, 55, is now at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York City, facing serious charges such as sex trafficking and fraud.
He was in court for a hearing primarily to set a future court date and examine evidence turned over by the prosecution.
According to DailyMail, Combs was clearly emotional as he showered love on his sons, Christian, 26, and Justin, 30, during the short ceremony.
The two men clasped their hands in prayer in their father’s direction as they walked out of the courthouse.
In response, Combs waved at them, while outside journalists were closely watching him.
The meeting did little to lift their spirits again, witnesses said, as both sons left the court looking sullen.
Federal prosecutors allege that Combs abused and manipulated women for decades to satisfy his sexual desires.
The charges stretch back to 2008 and include claims that he attempted to intimidate both victims and witnesses.
The amount of evidence against Combs was overwhelming, including security footage that allegedly captured him punching his ex, R&B singer Cassie Ventura.
Combs’ attorney says he is innocent. The music mogul was excited to stand up and tell his side of the story — at least that’s what his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, says.
The beta won’t start until May 5, 2025.
