DIG Islamabad came up with the perfect security plan for New Year’s Eve

ISLAMABAD (APP): Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Syed Ali Raza has directed strict security measures for New Year’s Eve across all areas of the capital, emphasizing the use of cameras and Safe City drones, along with a strong police presence, to ensure a safe and peaceful celebration.

A public relations officer told APP on Tuesday that over 3000 police officers will be deployed to ensure maximum security and stay alert during the New Year’s Eve celebrations.

DIG Syed Ali Raza issued directions to deploy police teams at important locations, shopping malls, and major markets to ensure the safety of people on New Year’s Eve.

DIG Raza directed all police officials to ensure special deployment in their respective areas including major shopping malls and markets for the safety of public during the night.

All district police officers have been directed to be present in their respective areas to maintain tight security, while special traffic teams have been formed to ensure smooth traffic flow during this occasion.

The traffic police force will also coordinate with the executive police force to maintain security order and traffic control on this occasion. Additionally, all activities in the city will be monitored through Safe City and drone cameras.

DIG Raza called on the people to show responsibility in their attitudes and conduct as members of a civilized society. He said that aerial, one-wheeled shooting and fireworks activities will not be allowed in the city and all possible measures will be taken to ensure protection of lives and property of people.

The DIG emphasized that the safety of people’s lives and properties is the prime responsibility of the people and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
