He was supported by his parents to pursue his dream.

DJ Naves started and completed his primary and secondary schooling in Soweto, South Africa. Thanks to his love and passion for hip-hop, he went on to earn a degree in Sound Engineering.
Career
DJ Naves started his career in nightclubs in South Africa and gradually became famous and loved across the country. Soon, he started getting requests to mix songs for bigger clubs.
He is good friends with another famous South African DJ, DJ Sphectacula. They are responsible for hosting a South African radio show called Ore-Party on Metro FM. They have also released the album Kings of the Weekend.
The album immediately became a South African hit and received five nominations at the Metro FM Awards.
