Phind’Gcobe Madubela, aka DJ PH, was born on September 6, 1987. He was born in the Eastern Cape in South Africa.

Growing up was difficult for him because he struggled a lot to get through that phase of his life. DJ PH was born into a family of four children and he is the youngest child in the family.
He grew up in his native Eastern Cape and had to work several menial jobs to support himself because his parents could not afford some of his basic needs.
Education
DJ PH attended high school at a Boys-Only School and he was very active in sports activities. He is proficient in rugby, tennis and swimming.
He was also appointed to represent his class in terms of sports. In addition to sports activities, DJ PH was also very good at break-dancing when he was in high school.

During his high school days, DJ PH was a boy who loved sports; in fact, if you knew him as a child, you would think he would become a sportsman.
But the opposite is the case; today, he is making waves in the South African music industry. After graduating with a marketing certificate from university, he found a job at “Anything Goes” in Cape Town.
He then worked as a DJ, where he began demonstrating his skills in clubs and lounges. He had mastered the job of a DJ and with just a little effort combined with his marketing skills, he was able to sell some of the solo beats he had created. He also got the opportunity to work for a big brand like Jamieson Soul Session.
At the age of 24, DJ PH moved to Johannesburg and lived with his sister. After a few months staying with his sister in Johannesburg, he became a trainee at 5FM, the national radio station. He then auditioned for a DJ search competition, where he won runner-up.
Then, in 2016, DJ PH was appointed as the official DJ at 5FM station.
