DJ Spinall (born 2 June 1984), also known as Top Boy, is a Nigerian super DJ, musician, music producer, record label executive and media personality.
He is one of the few famous DJs who has been in the industry for a long time and is still one of the best DJs.
This award-winning DJ rose to fame when he worked with a popular Lagos radio station called Ray Power 100.5 FM in 2004.

Early life
DJ Spinall, born Sodamola Oluseye Desmond, was born on June 2, 1984 in the commercial city of Lagos.
He grew up with five other siblings. He was the third child.
He is Yoruba and Christian, raised in a middle-class family in the old city of Lagos and moved to Ogun state, southwestern Nigeria a few years later.
As a child, DJ Spinall loved listening to music and was a big fan of the legendary Onyeka Onwenu, Bob Marley, Lucky Dube and many other artists.
He had his first gig as a DJ in a church and was paid five hundred Naira for his services.
Education
DJ Spinall completed his primary and secondary education in Lagos, including obtaining the Senior Secondary Certificate (SSCE) and West African Examinations Council (WAEC) certificates.
He then attended a university not too far from Lagos called Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State where he graduated with a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Career
DJ Spinall is a Nigerian DJ known for his signature top hat. He started his professional DJ career working for a Lagos-based radio station called Ray Power on 100.5 FM in 2004.
He became famous and even joined an industry called Nite to promote underground musical talent.
Mavin’s then recording star, Wande Coal, was impressed with the DJ’s work and hired him as his personal DJ.
His work saw him appear on TV and in several music videos with Wande Coal, which is when he adopted a clothing style called TheCAP. He says the secret behind this unique identity stems from his cultural roots.
Fans loved his mixes and his ability to liven up a party and nicknamed him “The Crazy Azz Party” (TheCAP for short).
DJ Spinall grew in influence and founded a record label and management company called TheCAP Music in 2014.
He then signed music producers to his record label and recruited film crew members to support his company. That same year, he released his first hit single titled “GbaGbe E”, featuring Burna Boy.
DJ Spinall has collaborated with artists like 2baba, Wande Coal, Wizkid, Davido, Mr Eazi, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Kizz Daniel, Joeboy, Fireboy DML and many more.
DJ Spinall, in 2017, became the first Nigerian DJ to tour five cities in the United States; New York, Houston, Miami, Washington DC and Austin. He was honored with an award at the BET Awards held in Los Angeles for the official title of DJ of the Year 2017.

DJ Spinall is a super DJ with a height of 5 feet 11 inches. He is a celebrity but not arrogant because he is sometimes seen walking like a normal person on the streets of Lagos.
He even revealed in an interview that he drinks Garri at least once a week.
