Donald Adeosun Faison (born June 22, 1974), better known by his stage name Donald Faison, is an American actor and comedian. He is best known for his starring role as Dr. Chris Turk on the ABC/NBC comedy-drama series Scrubs.
He has also appeared in several films, including Remember the Titans, Uptown Girls, Embattled and Skyline, among others.
Donald Faison began his acting career in early 1989, appearing in several Off-Broadway productions. He made his film debut with a small role in the 1995 film Clueless. The following year, he appeared in another classic, the film Waiting to Exhale.
Donald Faison’s big break came in 2001 when he was cast as Dr. Chris Turk on Scrubs. The show was a commercial and critically acclaimed success, running for nine seasons.

Early life and education
Donald Adeosun Faison was born on June 22, 1974 in Harlem, New York City, United States. His mother’s name is Shirley Faison, a talent agent, and his father’s name is Donald Faison, a building manager.
His parents divorced when he was 18. He is the eldest child in the family. He has a younger brother, a musician named Olamide Faison. One of his siblings is Dade Faison.
Donald Faison is of Nigerian descent. His parents were involved in the National Black Theater in Harlem. He attended the Professional Children’s School in Manhattan with his best friend, actor Dash Mihok.
Personal life
Donald Faison has been in a few relationships and has been married twice. In 1997, he met a nursing student named Lisa Askey. They married in 2001 and in 2005, they annulled their marriage.
Shortly after his first divorce, Donald Faison met and began courting voice actress CaCee Cobb. The couple dated for six years before marrying on December 15, 2012.
The wedding was held at the home of a friend named Zach Braff, who was also the best man. Jessica Simpson was CaCee Cobb’s maid of honor. Donald Faison is the proud father of six children: Dade Faison, Kobe Faison, Sean Faison-Ince, Rocco Faison, Kaya Faison, and Wilder Frances Faison.
His first child, named Sean Faison-Ince, was born in 1997 with his ex-girlfriend named Audrey Ince.
Donald Faison had two more children (twins) in 1999. The twins were named Dade Faison and Kaya Faison. In 2001, he welcomed another child named Kobe Faison with his ex-wife Lisa Askey.

Career
Donald Faison first appeared in a Folger’s coffee commercial in 1989 when he was 15 years old. He played the younger brother of a soldier returning home from war. Peter Jennings hosted the 1992 ABC News special Prejudice: Answering Children’s Questions, which he produced with Malik Yoba.
He also had a small role in the Wesley Snipes film Sugar Hill. He later became famous for his role as Murray Duvall in the 1995 film Clueless and the television show of the same name that aired from 1996 to 1999.
In 1995, Donald Faison also played Tarik, the son of Gloria, played by Loretta Devine, in the film Waiting to Exhale. He had a role in the film New Jersey Drive. In Big Fat Liar, he also worked with Frankie Muniz, Paul Giamatti, and Amanda Bynes.
He had a recurring role on Felicity as Tracy. In Remember the Titans, Donald Faison played Petey Jones, a running back who changed positions and became a linebacker. He also voiced various characters on the MTV animated show Clone High. He had great roles on the TV shows Sister, Sister and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, and in the movie Josie and the Pussycats.
In 2005, Donald Faison produced an episode of MTV’s Punk’d featuring his best friend, Zach Braff. He also appeared in the music videos for Brandy Norwood’s Sittin’ Up in My Room, Fall Out Boy’s Beat It, and Gavin Degraw’s Chariot.
Since March 2011, Donald Faison’s face has appeared in commercials for The Sims Medieval. He had a small role in the comedy Pitch Perfect, which came out in 2012. His TBS series Who Gets the Last Laugh? lasted only a few episodes in 2013. His hosting role on the GSN game show Winsanity lasted from 2016 to 2018.
From 2018 to 2020, Donald Faison was the voice of Star Wars Resistance pilot Hype Fazon, a character named after him and created by Dave Filoni. Dave Filoni first became interested in Donald Faison’s stop-motion Star Wars animation.
