Amid the controversy surrounding Jay-Z and Diddy, former NFL player Le’Veon Bell took aim at rapper Meek Mill.
Mill’s recent comments regarding media stories surrounding high-profile lawsuits have led to a series of posts from Bell on Instagram.
According to AllHipHop, some of Bell’s messages on December 10 included screenshots of tweets made by Millennium discussing a “matrix” of false stories surrounding the celebrities mentioned in lawsuits.
Bell joked that “Meek probably needs to sit this one out..lol,” adding a caption implying that Mill is taking a hard look at his own past allegations. “He really doesn’t want to defeat their charges, does he?”
Bell alluded to Mill denying he would sell out for money or fame in future posts, mocking the rapper for needing to do so.
“So gentle dude,” he said while mocking a viral video of Mill posted by his billionaire friend Michael Rubin with the caption, “Not selling your soul, right?”
Things continued into the online exchange that Bell drew attention to as he put pressure on Jay-Z and even posted a meme, placing him alongside the Roc Nation mogul as the character Tyrone Biggums in Chappelle’s Show.
The meme joked, “Do they still get amnesty?” with a smiling Bell in his caption. “I’m crying,” he added in response.
While Bell’s posts appear benign, they appear at a time when he himself is under intense scrutiny.
A Twitter user, who goes by the handle @lexishexx, recently called Bell a hypocrite for suggesting she should stay out of the entertainment business while posting a screenshot of the DMS he purportedly sent her It doesn’t fit his public image.
