early life
Dunsin Oyekan was born on Monday, November 5, 1984, from Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.
He is the only son of his parents.
His father had a great influence on his musical choices, songwriting, and instrumental playing.
He often took him to a series of concerts and other related Christian events just to further stimulate his interest.
Dunsin Oyekan started playing guitar at the early age of 10.
It is said that when Dunsin was a child, his father prophesied that he would be able to see the dead rise through him.
His father, Pastor Gbadebo Oyekan, was one of the pioneers of the Pentecostal movement in the country and leader of the Ilorin-based music group, the Spiritual Singers.
At one point, his father wanted him to go to college to study music, but unfortunately, for some reason, this wish did not come true.

Dunsin Oyekan attended Air Force Nursery and Primary School, Ilorin and later Federal Government College (FGC), Ilorin.
Later, he completed his secondary education at the Ilorin Baptist Model High School.
He was admitted to the University of Ilorin and graduated as an Industrial Chemist.
Career and Ministry
Dunsin Oyekan has multiple platforms to spread the gospel; he is the organizer of the Healing Room Worship Event, Code Red Worship Concert, Victory Tour, and many other concerts held every year.
In 2016, he released his debut album Code Red, which has 14 tracks.
In 2019, he released another album, Kingdom Now, which has 20 tracks.
In 2020, he released more songs such as “More Than a Song”, “Fragrance to Fire” and “At All Cost”, the most popular of which “Imole De” has become a famous worship song in Nigerian churches.
To date, Dunsin Oyekan has successfully released more than thirty songs, including the hit song “That’s It” in 2016, which he sang in collaboration with American gospel singer Kim Burrell.
He has also shared the stage with popular gospel singers such as Tasha Cobbs, Don Moen, Kurt Carr, Byron Cage, William Murphy, Sinach, Tasha Page-Lockhart, Kim Burrell, Frank Edwards, Tye Tribbett and Freke Umoh.
He served as Music Director for the award-winning choir, Commonwealth of Zion Avalanche (COZA).
He currently considers Dr. Paul Enenche, senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Center, as his spiritual father, and the two have shared the platform at different times.

Personal life
Dunsin Oyekan married his college classmate Adedoyin Oyekan on February 2, 2013. They have two children.
Unfortunately, his wife, Adedoyin Oyekan, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019. Dunsin Oyekan took this huge blow sincerely and believed that God would bring him a better future.
He credits his father as his motivation and sole reason for pursuing gospel music.
Tragically, his father passed away on March 30, 2015 – something he called the most painful event of his life.
