Chukwuebuka Obi-Uchendu (born 14 July 1982), known professionally as Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, is a prominent Nigerian lawyer and media personality. He is best known as the host of the popular reality television show Big Brother Naija.

Early Life & Education
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu was born on July 14, 1982, to a banker father, Director Ezeagada of Okija, and his mother, who works as a nurse at a public hospital in Benin City, Edo State. He is the third child in a family of four children. He has an older sister, an older brother and a younger brother. His older sister’s name is Iphie Obi-Uchendu.
He completed kindergarten and primary school in Benin City in central Nigeria and passed the secondary school entrance exam as early as fourth grade. He and his family then moved to Abuja, the country’s capital.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu completed his secondary education at Christ The King College of Abuja before enrolling at the University of Abuja in 1997 and graduating in 2004. In 2005, he received a degree from the Nigerian Law School in Bwari, Abuja.
After completing his studies at the Nigerian Law School, Bwari in Abuja in 2005, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu returned to school. In December 2010, he received a Master of Laws from the Washington School of Law at American University in Washington, DC, specializing in intellectual property and media law from the Law and Government program.
Personal life
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu proposed to human resources manager Cynthia Obi-Uchendu, also known as Cynthia Obianodo, in Lagos on April 15, 2015. On February 6, 2016, they married in Abuja.
They had a daughter named Jewel Obi-Uchendu on November 8, 2016. In 2018, they announced via Instagram that they were expecting another child. Their second child, also a daughter, was named Rubi Obi-Uchendu.
Career
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu joined the first season of the popular reality series Big Brother Naija in 2006 as one of the 14 housemates. He is the eighth person to be kicked out of the show. He is currently the most successful and popular BBNaija housemate to date. In January 2017, he was chosen to host both the third and second seasons of Big Brother Naija.
After the 2006 reality show, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu received sponsorship deals with a major telecommunications company and a famous beer brewing company. As a result, he hosted Friend or Foe on NTA, GLO Show on NTA and Guinness’ Greatness TV.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu also had a weekly column called Contrast This Daily Newspaper for over 4 years. He also contributes to other magazines such as What’s New and Ace Magazines.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu was named the new host of the Nigerian television talk show Rubbin’ Minds in 2013.
He then interviews notable figures among Nigerian youth, such as Banky W, Gbenga Sesan, Seun Kuti, Oluchi Onweagba, Davido, Japheth J. Omojuwa and Chika Unigwe.
