On October 10, Mirror reported that Ed Sheeran had given a speech at the Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards earlier on October 9. However, Ed Sheeran was not the only one to make a splash at the event, as Sir Elton John was awarded “The Heritage Award.”

Before Sir Elton John stepped on stage to receive the prestigious award, Ed Sheeran took the time to express touching words about the 77-year-old singer.

Ed Sheeran began by mentioning that there will always be awards for icons and legends, as many prominent stars go beyond the extraordinary.

The “Thinking Out Loud” singer emphasized the value of Attitude’s Legacy award and concluded: “The important thing is that you find the love you deserve. That’s always the answer and God knows, I love the man This”.
