Abdulrasheed Bawa (born 30 April 1980) is a prominent Nigerian detective and law enforcement officer. He has worked for and served as chairman of the Nigerian Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Also known as EFCC Bawa, he is a top detective and law enforcement officer.

Early life and education
Abdulrasheed Bawa was born on April 30, 1980. At the age of 44, he was born and raised in Jega, a small village in Kebbi State, Nigeria.

He is said to have auctioned off petrol trucks at symbolic prices when he was the regional head of the Port Harcourt office.
Abdulrasheed Bawa was subsequently arrested and detained by the then Acting Chairman of the Criminal Investigation Agency, Ibrahim Magu. Due to his fraudulent activities, he was later removed from his post in Port Harcourt and transferred to the agency’s training school in Abuja.

Abdulrasheed Bawa is said to have joined the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2004 as an Assistant Inspector of Police (ADS).
Eleven years after joining the agency (October 2015), he was appointed to head the investigation into Diezani Alison-Madueke, the former Minister of Petroleum Resources, and her associates.
Abdulrasheed Bawa is still the youngest chairman of the EFCC to date. He is said to have been trained in the United States by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
During his tenure as head of the EFCC’s Port Harcourt Regional Office and Lagos Regional Office, Abdulrasheed Bawa investigated and seized several illegally acquired properties.
