Eliza Hittman was born on December 9, 1979. She is 44 years old now, and she was born and raised in Flatbush, Brooklyn, USA.

In 2010, while still a student at California Institute of the Arts, Eliza Hittman wrote and directed a short film, Second Cousins Once Removed, which premiered at the Oberhausen Film Festival in Germany, and was her first film to participate in the festival.
Another short film she wrote, titled Forever Starts Tonight, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2011. Another film she wrote, titled Feels Like Love, also premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and screened in March 2014 at the IFC Center in New York City.
One of her films is considered Eliza Hittman’s third film, titled Never Rarely Sometimes Always, which is about two teenagers living in rural Pennsylvania.
The film tells the story of a teenager who travels to New York City to get an abortion to escape an unwanted pregnancy. The film also premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. It won the Special Jury Award for New Realism.
The film was also shortlisted for the Golden Bear Award in the main competition unit of the 70th Berlin International Film Festival, and won the Silver Bear Jury Grand Prix, the second highest award of the festival.
