Born October 6, 1941, Emil Cordray died on August 22, 2007. He was just two months away from his 66th birthday in October 2007. He is believed to have died in his sleep at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas.

Emil Cordray is an avid coin collector. He is a well-known dealer throughout Texas and Louisiana. Michael even notes that his first job was collecting and selling coins with his father. In homage to his father, Emil decorated his home with coin bathroom tiles in the 2019 episode.

Emil loved nothing more than spending his weekends at coin shows with Michael.
