During his appearance on Netflix Rhythm + Flow, Legendary rap star Eminem shared his true feelings with host and new female rapper Latto. “By the way, I love you. You’re amazing.”
Latto was stunned by the unexpected compliment and graciously thanked him as an artist she herself admired.
The “Not Afraid” rapper appeared on the fifth episode of the new season of the hip hop competition show, as it was filmed in the superstar’s hometown of Detroit. Latto stars alongside artists like Ludacris and DJ Khaled, all of whom are looking for the next breakout hip-hop star.
Fans were excited by the unexpected interaction between Eminem and Latto, hoping the collaboration could come from a thank you note.
A collaboration may not be completely out of the realm of possibility, as Eminem has made a major impact in his return to rap music. His latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace), released in July, was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. This currently ranks as Eminem’s eighth nomination in this category in his entire career.
Latto also had an impressive year playing professionally. Her third studio album Iced Tea with Honey and Sugar becoming her highest charting album in the US Billboard 200, debuting at number fifteen. She is also making headlines fighting pregnancy allegations, even though the rap singer denies any truth about them.
