Escape from tarkov ground zero map
New Ground Zero map overview:
Escape from Tarkov recently launched a new map called Ground Zero in patch 0.14. It’s designed to help players who are still getting the hang of the game, especially those below level 20. Even experienced players will explore this new map, trying to understand its layout and find the best escape route.
Available map information:
Currently, the only map available in Ground Zero is the one shown in the original trailer. While not terribly detailed, it does provide valuable information for new players. It highlights the location of extraction points, which are crucial for survival. Also, keep an eye out for Salewa first aid kits scattered throughout, as you’ll need them for the next mission.
Extraction point:
There are five main extraction points, each serving a different purpose. The Emercom checkpoint is at the bottom left, the Scav checkpoint is at the top left, Mira Prospect is at the bottom, the Nakatani basement is at the top right, and the police checkpoint (vehicle extraction point) is at the top center. Warm reminder: When going to Mira Observation Deck, be sure to bring flares to avoid being shot by snipers during the evacuation.

Ground Zero is now the starting point for various missions in Escape from Tarkov. Here’s a breakdown of some tasks you might encounter:
-
Burning Rubber Mission:
This mission involves picking up a car at a police checkpoint. For this you need 5000 rubles, which you received when accepting the task of skier.
-
First task:
The therapist assigns this task to guide you to the Emercom station near the Emercom checkpoint in the lower left corner of the map. You don’t need to extract; just being in the area is important. Collect nearby medicines and give them to them to complete the mission.
-
Shoot the can mission:
Brought to you by Prapor, this mission requires you to eliminate five targets on the map, whether they are scavs or PMCs. You’ll also need to find the AGS grenade launcher and Utyos machine gun in certain buildings.
-
Save the Mole Mission:
Head to the Terragroup building to perform this mission. Get the Science Key from the dead man, grab the data drive upstairs, and extract it.
-
Pursuit of luxurious life:
After completing the above missions and a few others, Plabol will present you with the “Ground Zero” Luxurious Life mission and provide a final challenge to end your adventure on this map.

Escape from Tarkov gameplay
Escape from Tarkov is a gritty, survival-focused game where you have to fight to survive. You can play as a soldier (PMC) or a scavenger, scavenge equipment or practice offline. Each raid takes you to a map, and your goal is to get to the other side and escape.
But it’s not easy – you’re up against other players and AI enemies. Finding cool weapons and gear is key, but if you die, you lose everything you brought with you. If you’re unlucky, insuring your gear can help you recover it. The game is very hands-off, with very little information on the screen. As a scavenger, you receive random gear and join ongoing raids. After that, there’s a cooldown before you can join again. Between raids, you can trade loot, buy new gear, and complete quests from merchants to unlock better stuff. Combat is very realistic, with in-depth weapon customization, health management, and even the ability to keep tabs on your character’s energy and hydration levels.
Escape from Tarkov plot
In Escape from Tarkov, the story takes place in a city called Tarkov, which is plagued by political scandals and corporate failures. The story is set in Russia from 2015 to 2026. The city is a battleground for different groups, known locally as “Scav”, who control parts of it. Players take on the role of USEC or BEAR, two competing PMCs, each with their own goals and equipment preferences. The game is all about survival – players explore different maps in search of loot while fighting against AI-controlled enemies and other players.
The main goal is to survive and escape from the city. Searching for gear, completing missions, and traversing dangerous terrain are all part of the challenge. There is a deep, immersive world to explore, with different factions and locations offering unique experiences. Battlestate Games plans to expand the gameplay by creating an open world that combines all the different areas. Overall, it’s about survival, strategy, and navigating dangerous, war-torn cities.
