Evan Rachel Wood accused Marilyn Manson of rape when he violently tore off her clothes during the filming of a music video

In a recent Channel 4 documentary titled “Marilyn Manson Unmasked”, actress Evan Rachel Wood made allegations against her former partner, rock musician Marilyn Manson, of rape. , claiming he assaulted her on the set of the “Heart-Shaped Glasses” music video.

Wood, then 19, alleges that what she heard was just a simulated sex scene that quickly turned into something much more traumatic.

She claimed in the documentary that while they were filming, Manson – real name Brian Hugh Warner – got violent and started tearing her clothes. Wood told the station she cried after the incident and said she felt he had “violated” her.

“I heard the word ‘cut’ and saw the film crew walking away. I was almost naked sitting on the bed, just crying. I felt so violated,” she said in the documentary, as quoted by the Daily Letters. For years, she didn’t call the incident a rape, but looking back, she said it was.

Wood’s allegations were denied by Manson’s lawyer, Howard King, who claimed multiple witnesses were present during filming and that the allegations were “patently false”.

Of course, he reiterated that it was a staged scene and that Manson was wearing his clothes the entire time.

Other women who have made similar allegations against Manson are also featured in the documentary.

In 2021, Manson was sued by actress Esme Bianco – star of “Game of Thrones” – for sexual assault and human trafficking while they were dating. Bianco alleges physical abuse and involuntary confinement.

Manson, 55, has been accused of abuse by multiple women over the years but denies wrongdoing. He dropped the defamation lawsuit against Wood in November 2024 after a judge ordered him to pay her $327,000 in legal fees.

Wood is a vocal advocate for survivors of abuse and has taken to her social media, the LA Times reported, to call attention to issues of consent and accountability in Hollywood. She previously described her abuser on Instagram (now set to private) as Manson, claiming he groomed her since childhood.

“He began grooming me when I was a teenager and horribly abused me for years. I was brainwashed and forced to submit. I was tired of living in fear of retaliation, slander or blackmail.”
