Conor Anthony McGregor (born 14 July 1988) is an Irish mixed martial artist. He is a former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight and lightweight champion. He is the only UFC fighter to hold titles in two different weight classes at the same time.
He is also the Cage Warriors featherweight and lightweight champion and still influences tonight’s boxing predictions.
The son of Margaret McGregor and Tony McGregor, Conor McGregor grew up in Crumlin, Ireland. McGregor attended Gaelscoil, Gaelscholáiste and Coláiste de Hilt for his primary education in Tallaght. He played rugby for Lourdes Celtic Rugby Club as a child.
McGregor was trained in mixed martial arts by John Kavanagh when he was in his late teens. Mixed martial arts was not widely known at the time. Despite his parents’ wishes, he became a professional boxer instead of an apprentice plumber.

In May 2017, he welcomed his first child. It was the result of a relationship between him and Dee Devlin, built on mutual support, for everything that happened in Conor McGregor’s early days in mixed martial arts.

UFC Debut
UFC President Dana White signed Conor McGregor in early 2013 and he made his UFC debut in April with a first-round knockout victory.
After his debut in 2013, McGregor became an instant UFC superstar. He quickly rose through the ranks and defeated Dennis Silver to win “Performance of the Night” for the third consecutive year in 2015.
Fans and journalists began to recognize his performance ability. He defeated Chad Mendes by TKO the following year to win the interim featherweight title.
He continued to win until he defeated Chad Mendes to win the interim featherweight title in July 2015. In December of the same year, he knocked out Jose Aldo in a world record 13 seconds. This helped him win both featherweight titles.
Conor McGregor first fought Nate Diaz at welterweight on March 5, 2016. He was knocked out in the second round, losing the fight. The rematch with Diaz was originally scheduled for July 9 of the same year, but had to be rescheduled because McGregor needed help to fulfill his obligations. A month later, they fought again and McGregor won, this time by majority vote.
