Fat Joe recently addressed the situation involving Remy Ma and Papoose during an appearance on Math Hoffa’s ‘My Expert Opinion’ podcast. He shares his views but is careful not to cross any boundaries regarding their personal matters.
“My sister never told me about her personal relationship, but what I do know is that last night I left my friends. We went to Brooklyn Chop House. She entertained 10 grown men into a dinner, and I wake up in the morning, and then I’m on the phone going crazy and they say, ‘Oh, look, what’s going on.’ I was like, ‘What the hell – How do you work that out between your brothers,'” Fat Joe explained.
Joe expressed how difficult this situation feels for him personally, especially with his strong relationship with Papoose.
“Ah, yes, this is a difficult situation, because, because of him, she made me love him. You know what I’m saying? So, I really love him. You know , I’m saying that’s my goddaughter’s father. It’s all just… I’m trying to tell you that I’m old-fashioned, you know, I’m saying, so, like like, to me… like ‘The Godfather’, these guys are over life, I don’t like it at all. You know, I’m saying I don’t like it at all.”
While reflecting, Joe, born Joseph Antonio Cartagena, made it clear that he could not interfere in certain matters.
“What I can’t do is stop it or hide it as if they don’t listen to me,” the 54-year-old said. He continues to emphasize the difference in this situation, emphasizing that Remy and Papoose are married.
“First of all, the first time she asked me for advice, I said, ‘Listen, it’s different. This is your husband. I’m saying this is your husband.’ I can’t get in the middle of that,” the “Lean Back” rapper said. “It’s all of you. And there are children involved.”
