For Honor Tier List: Ranking the Best Characters and Classes

“For Honor” game information

“For Honor” is an action game developed and published by Ubisoft. It is primarily developed by Ubisoft Montreal, with the PC version being handled by Blue Byte. The game was announced at Ubisoft’s E3 2015 press conference and released worldwide on February 14, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One. For Honor allows players to take on the role of historical warriors such as knights, samurai and vikings and control them from a third-person perspective.

The game received generally positive reviews, praising its challenging and innovative combat mechanics. Development of For Honor began in 2012, marking Ubisoft’s first foray into strategy action game development. The game’s structure is inspired by shooters, providing a unique gaming experience.

For Honor’s original score was written and produced by film composers Danny Bensi, Saunder Jurriaans and Owen Wallis. The game features a Dolby Atmos soundtrack to enhance the player’s audio experience.

On June 24, 2020, For Honor received further recognition when the character “The Warden” was included as a playable DLC character in SNK’s 2019 fighting game Samurai Shodown. In addition, starting from October, a linkage event called “Mist Survivors” will be held from November 21, 2021 to November 11, 2021, in the game “Dead by Daylight”. The event features cosmetics inspired by Dead by Daylight and introduces the Trapper, the AI-controlled enemy character from the original game.

The development of For Honor was documented in the film Playing Hard, which chronicled the game from its initial concept creation by Jason Vandenberghe to its release.

“For Honor” Hero Ranking

S-Class Honored Heroes: These heroes are considered the strongest in the game currently. They have a powerful set of abilities and moves that become even more powerful as you unlock more feats. If you are looking for an easy victory, it is recommended to choose one of these heroes.

A-tier heroes: These characters are also quite powerful, although they lag slightly behind S-tier heroes due to factors such as lower stats or one ability that may not be as great. Nonetheless, they are powerful warriors in their own right.

B Tier For Honor Heroes: These heroes are a good choice in For Honor, but they are not as powerful as higher tier heroes. However, they can still be quite deadly if played strategically and chosen to fight specific enemy heroes.

C-Class Honored Heroes: These characters are considered average in strength and abilities. They may not be great, but they’re not the worst choice either. They sit somewhere in the middle of our For Honor tier list.

D Tier Heroes: These heroes have below average overall effectiveness. It is recommended to think carefully before choosing one of these characters, as you may struggle against higher-ranked opponents. However, if you like their playstyle, you can still play with them, but be prepared for the challenges they bring.

E-Tier For Honor Heroes: We don’t think these For Honor characters excel in any particular area, and they generally don’t deserve to be chosen higher than a higher-ranked hero. It’s generally best to avoid these heroes if possible.

“For Honor” gameplay

“For Honor” is an action game that takes place in a medieval fantasy background. The game has five factions: Iron Legion (Knights), Children of War (Vikings), Dawn Empire (Samurai), Wulin (Ancient China), and the Outlander faction composed of pirates and pirates (new in January 2022) Medjay and Afeera. Each faction has its own unique characters representing different classes of warriors.

The vanguard-level arms are balanced and capable of both offense and defense. The Assassin class is fast and good at one-on-one combat, but lacks the damage output against multiple enemies. Heavy tanks, also called tanks, have high durability and are suitable for capturing capture points, but have a slower attack speed. A hybrid class combines aspects of two different classes with unique abilities.

All heroes in For Honor have unique weapons, skills, and fighting styles. Players engage in melee combat using their character’s specific weapons. By performing certain actions, such as killstreaks, players can unlock feats that grant additional benefits such as increased score, offensive support like arrow rain or catapults, or self-healing abilities. AI minions often accompany the player on most missions, but they pose little threat compared to the player character.

The game features a tactical combat system called Art of Combat, which allows for multiplayer battles with other players or player-like artificial intelligence in the campaign. In this mode, players enter a duel scenario where they can choose from three different attack directions (from top, right, or left) based on on-screen prompts and the opponent’s movements.

Players can block their opponent’s attacks by choosing the correct defensive position. Each character also has unique special abilities, such as shoulder barges and evasive moves. Players can also adjust attack strength to increase the weight of weapon attacks. The goal is to create an immersive combat experience that allows players to feel the weight and impact of their chosen weapon
