Franklin Roy Bruno MBE was born on 16 November 1961 in Hammersmith, London, United Kingdom.
He was raised by his parents, Lynette Bruno and Robert Bruno, and grew up with his siblings: Michael Bruno, Eddie Bruno, Faye Joanne Bruno and Angela Bruno.
Bruno attended Swaffield Primary School and Oak Hill School in Sussex, England, where he learned boxing. He is of Jamaican and Dominican descent and is Catholic.
Career
Frank Bruno had a remarkable boxing career spanning over two decades. He began boxing at a young age and quickly rose through the amateur ranks, becoming the youngest ever British Amateur Champion at the age of 18.
