early life and education
Francis Albert Sinatra was born on December 12, 1915 in Hoboken, New Jersey, USA. He was the son of Antonino Martino “Marty” Sinatra and Natalina “Dolly” Galavante. Sinatra had two sisters, Nancy and Mary.
He attended David E. Rue Junior High School and AJ Demarest High School in Hoboken, New Jersey. However, just 47 days later, he left high school without graduating due to “general rowdiness.” Sinatra briefly attended Drake Business School, but left after 11 months. Sinatra was of Italian ancestry and a Christian.

Frank Sinatra began singing professionally as a teenager, despite never learning to read music. His first big break came in 1935 when his mother convinced him to join a local singing group called the 3 Flashes.
