Gentle Jack, 54, was born on November 20, 1970, in Abonema, Kalabari Kingdom, Rivers State, Nigeria.
He belongs to the Kalabari ethnic group, a subgroup of the Ijaw ethnic group. He attended primary and secondary schools in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
