Geoff Lloyd, a media personality, was born on April 20, 1973, in Withington, Manchester, England. He was raised in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England, by his parents, who were known to prefer being called Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd.

Geoff Lloyd began his broadcasting journey in 1991, initially working as a traffic and travel reporter for Signal Cheshire in Stockport. His tenure there lasted until the end of 1994.
Lloyd attributes much of his career growth to comedian Craig Cash, acknowledging Cash’s comedic style, interview technique, and encouragement as influences. Cash brought Lloyd on board The Mrs. Merton Show as a runner, eventually connecting him with Pete Mitchell. This association led to a decade-long radio collaboration between Pete and Geoff.
Geoff Lloyd’s contributions extend beyond radio, with appearances on Channel 4’s TFI Friday, BBC One’s Comic Relief, shows such as Chris Addisoncake and Ale at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and Dave Gorman’s Modern life is good.
