Clifford Joseph Price MBE, known professionally as Goldie, is an influential British music producer, DJ and actor.
Although Goldie initially gained recognition for his work as a graffiti artist, he later became a pioneer in the 1990s British jungle, drum and bass, and breakbeat hardcore music scene.
In the early 1990s, Goldie transitioned into music production and quickly made a name for himself in the burgeoning jungle and drum and bass scene.

early life and education
Clifford Joseph Price MBE was born on September 19, 1965 in Walsall, England, United Kingdom. He was born and raised by his parents, Margaret McVeigh and Clement Price, but the names of his possible siblings were unknown to the media. Price attended Point Blank Music School, where he honed his music-making skills.
He later received honorary degrees, including a PhD in Social Sciences from Brunel University and a PhD in Design from the University of Wolverhampton, in recognition of his significant contribution to the music industry and youth work.
