Granblue Fantasy Relink Roadmap
Cygames recently unveiled the roadmap for Granblue Fantasy: Relink in its presentation, outlining exciting post-launch plans for the action RPG.
The arrival of new characters:
- Seofon and Tweyen: In April, players can look forward to the addition of new characters Seofon and Tweyen, expanding the playable roster.
The ultimate showdown with Lucilius:
- March Boss Fight: March brings an intense ultimate showdown featuring Lucilius, a powerful opponent capable of challenging level 100 characters.
May Ver.1.3.0 update:
- Mysterious content: Version 1.3.0 will be launched in May, promising new content. Details remain a mystery, and anticipation is high for surprises to come.
Game Release:
- Available platforms: Granblue Fantasy: Relink will be released on February 1 for PS4, PS5, and PC. The free console demo will go live on January 12th, giving you a look at the story mode, tutorials, mission mode, and 11 characters.

Granblue Fantasy Relink Development
Granblue Fantasy: Relink was first announced in August 2016 as Granblue Fantasy Project Re: Link, a collaboration between PlatinumGames and Cygames. The game features notable staff including composers Nobuo Uematsu and Tsutomu Narita, and artist Hideo Minba. Originally planned for release on PlayStation 4 in 2018, it would be set in the same fantasy world as the original Granblue Fantasy, but in a different location and feature some familiar characters.

Gameplay debuted at GranBlue Fes 2017, showcasing aspects such as four-player cooperative multiplayer or single-player with three AI characters. The official title of Granblue Fantasy: Relink was revealed in December 2018. By February 2019, PlatinumGames exited the project, leaving Cygames to handle remaining development. Yasuyuki Kaji guided Relink with PlatinumGames from the beginning and continued to work with Cygames on the game until it was completed.
