The auto combo has also been revamped and is now called Triple Attack, which probably means it hits even harder! Additionally, they’re ensuring smoother online play by updating the network code, including rollbacks and cross-platform play.

When you choose a character, you have a lot to choose from. Everyone is back from the first game, and they add four new faces to the main roster. If that’s not enough, there are 6 more characters waiting for you in the DLC pack. It’s like meeting a new group of friends to play with!
Granblue Fantasy and Rising Development
Game director Tetsuya Fukuhara is keen to make a sequel. Initially, there was talk of just making a few tweaks to the first Versus game for the PlayStation 5, but they decided to go all out and make an entirely new sequel. They revealed the big news at the GBVS Cygames Cup Special in January 2023 and said the game would be available in the same year. But things got pushed back a bit, and they changed the original November date to December 14, 2023, to make sure everything goes smoothly.
Now, here’s the exciting part: they’ve announced that new characters in Character Pass Part 1 will start appearing around mid-January 2024. Lucilius, the main villain in the base game’s story, will be playable with five characters from the start. More DLC characters are planned for release in 2024, with intervals throughout the year. Additionally, they plan to roll out new levels, better online content, and cool updates between January and February. Then, from April through the fall, they’ll roll out more content: new game modes, additional story segments, and fresh mini-games in the online lobbies.
Oh, and Narmaya is rewarded with a nifty new outfit in the battle pass! Get it, they’re doing a crossover with Uma Musume Pretty Derby. They will have incarnations of Tokai Teio, Silence Suzuka, Mejira McQueen and Carrot Blade. It sounds like they have a lot of fun extra content in the works!
